new Intel HTPC board

Looks like Intel is activly going after the HTPC market. about time they quite giving it to AMD

It's good to see some Intel based OBG options for HTPC. A single PCIe-1X expansion slot... a bit limiting for what's available in the market. I guess you could connect everything via USB (tuner, WiFi, etc). There's also the micro-ATX DG45ID that has more memory and expansion slots.

It's good that it has optical out. I can't believe how may "HTPC" boards are out there that don't have optical!!! (I'm talking to you ASUS)
