my ram's default timing is 4-4-4-15, but currently im running it on 5-5-5-13(the board picked the speed), its paired with an E4300 overclocked to 3.0ghz (333x9@1.44v) and ram voltage has been increased to 2.1v(still within the factory recommended settings).

now the question is, should i change the timing down to 4-4-4-15 ?? will it improve performance or should i leave it as the current setting?

memory timing usually only makes a very minimal difference in performance. But if possible i dont see why not.

okay, i will give that a shot tonight

also is it wise to buy 2 more sticks of 1gb ram while DDR2 is cheap as dirt?

im planning on running 4gbs of memory, but i know that under 32bit OS it can only pick up 3.5gb or something. if they release a sp3 for xp64bit then that wouldnt be a bad option, otherwise i will just stick to xp32bit.
