I'm literally working on deciding my last component for my computer... the heatsink I will be using for my new rig. I don't know what will fit and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've read a bunch of posts and I think ultimately I'll convert to a watercooling system, but in the meantime I want sufficient cooling! These are the components that I think affect the heatsinks I can use:

CPU:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 Yorkfield 2.66GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115042 - $340

Mobo:
GIGABYTE GA-X48-DS4 LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128336 - $235

Memory:
2x OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227289 - $98

Case:
LIAN LI PC-65B Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112040 - $130

Any help is appreciated!!! Thanks! :)

TRUE, I have both a xiggy and and a TRUE and the TRUE is still better from my personal tests. Could just be the berserk push pin trash, and it has a proprietary fan to heat sink holding design. Single fan. TRUE can hold 2 fans.

I have just purchased a very similar setup and only have the heatsink left to buy. I've heard the Xigmatek S1283 is the one to get but I live in Australia and I can't seem to buy it anywhere.

What would be the next best cooler which I can use to overclock a little.

My setup uses the same Motherboard and CPU as the OP but my case is the Antec 900. Any help would be appreciated.

Personally I like the Thermalright Ultima-90 ES , not a big and heavy as the TRUE but easily comparable in performance. (need to buy a fan also tho')

Hmm.. same question here for almost identical config (Q6600 with an Lian Li case.. also a GA-P35 mobo.)

Xigmatek seems most highly recommended, cheaper than the True and lighter too?

but does this fit the average Lian Li case? (mine is the PC-7A.. looks like the 65 mentioned in this thread)
