Yeah it should all work....
Couple suggestions
1) Save some cash and get the regular ballistix
2) If online gaming I do not suggest wireless, it'll lag like crazy

You don't really need to swap the motherboard. The DS3L is perfectly fine, but if you want to change it go, ahead

In fact if you are going to overclock the Q6600 I suggest you get the ASUS P5K-E motherboard instead. People are getting great Q6600 overclocks on it

It's $5 more and has 100 more watts (still overkill but hey, you got another 100 watts)

Yeah. The second has built in wifi

Also their cooling is a little different
The second has a heatpipe and the first has a mosfet cooler on the way top

Either will do

Not to hijack the thread but what problems are the DS3Ls having in OCing a Q6600? I heard they were pretty good.
