DVD Drive sounds really load

Just built my new PC and windows is installing at the moment. My new lite-on dvd/cd burner sounds like a engine when its reading the windows disk. just wondering if this was normal or if something is wrong with it.

Antec Sonota III case, Lite on model LH-20A1L-06.

quick update my video just went away but it sounds like its still installing. Keyboard isnt working anymore either. :[

The drive is fine, the noise your experiencing is normal, no drive is quiet when its reading at fast speeds. Manufacturers do implement a drive slow down feature for DVD video though, so it doesnt sound like a jet engine during playback of video content.

thanks for the response, video somehow came back after i restarted. Keyboard still only seems to work win windows is installing and not before when i have the options to select bios.
