Im looking to get some ram for a new system, the quick specs are

q6600 8x400 3.2ghz
8800gt
p35 ds3l

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...82E16820146731,N82E16820145176&page=2&bop=And

hopefully this link works, these are a few of the rams that i have found from newegg, i would like to go with them cause im getting most of my otherstuff from them

i would like to overclock the ram to about 444-12 1t, nothing crazy but i dont want it getting to hot

please let me know what you think would be the best for doing this at a reasonable rate

also Im not sure if these things have the d9 chip in it, but i guess that would be pretty nice

thankyou for the info

k but would that geil be able to do 444-12 1t timings? thats kinda of my target, basically it has to be slightly better then my bros to make me happy, really ive heard many bad things about the ocz sli i was kinda leaning more towards the muskin or the ocz reaper or titanium

The Mushkin would be good, but it does not overvolt as well as the Geil or OCZ. Something you may need with lower timings.

Either way, you only need to nudge the first number down to 4 so the Mushkin may work. This is easier than trying to nudge the 15 down to 12.

I'll never forget when people were buying the Dominator DDR2 800 kits only to find out that they were not Micron chips at all. Corsair made a lot of their loyal customers pissed to fine out that not only was Corsair charging top dollar for there Dominators but infact using cheap non-Micron based chips to turn a profit.

I was about to go with Corsair for my build but was glad I found out what they were doing before I made the same mistake of buying from Corsair. Corsair was charging almost $400 dollars for a non-Micron base set of Ram, thats unbelievable!!

4-4-4-12 2gb ?? stick $47.99. You could get 2 or get 1 now and 1 later. No rebates to deal with. http://shop1.outpost.com/product/54...EzDMDGqZA**.node1?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
That would be a great deal if it were true, but there seems to be a little problem ...
From http://patriotmemory.com/products/groupdetailp.jsp?pro[...]00&catid=2 (clicky link) :

So, according to the patriot website, the product number listed at shop1.outpost is for a 1 GB stick, not a 2GB stick.

Here is a link to the 2 GB stick at newegg for comparison (also note the correct product number) :
