Everything look good?

Hi, I'm building a system for a friend and this is what I've come up with:

Processor: Q6600
Motherboard: ASUS P5E Or GIGABYTE GA-X38-DS4 Or ASUS MAXIMUS FORMULA (Learning towards the P5E)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix ddr2-800 2 GB
Video Cards: Two HD3870's in Crossfire
Case: Antec 900
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE (Open to suggestions on sound card)
Power Supply: Corsair HX520
Hard Drive: Western Digital 500 GB SATAII Drive
Cd/Dvd Drive: Two of Samsung SH-S203B

So what do you guys think? I don't know much about sound cards so I just chose an entry level one (he's going to be using headphones mostly). Open to suggestions on everything.

Thanks in advance!

More about everything good
  1. I would go for the better price of the Gigabyte, and because I am a Gigabyte fanboy. Nothing wrong with ASUS, they just tend to be more expensive for the same quality and performance. Other than the fancy name, I see no advantage to the Maximus.

    Everything else looks fine.
  2. I beg to differ (because I'm an Asus fanboy!) Although I'd go with the Maximus Formula its an awesome board.

Everything else looks pretty good. Sound card should be fine with Headphones.
  3. Well cany you explain what the Maximus Formula has over the P5E?

Only about a 10 bucks difference between the Asus and Gigabyte.
  4. The PSU may not be sufficient for the CF setup:

  5. 40 Amps on the 12+ Rails not sufficient? That's hard to believe :P
