Barcelona has greater per core scaling... who'd thought that? ;)

Too bad he didn't test Harpertown as well, but whatever, server performance means very little to me...

Yes, this seems like it's a little outdated now. The Harpertowns have closed the gap on the Barceys, but still fall a little short. AMD has always scaled better, and they will until Nehalem. Once Intel gets their QPI going, and their potential bandwidth catches AMD, they should narrow the gap even more, or perhaps, pull ahead.

Oh, I'm not hoping. I SOOOO wanted to build a Spider PC, but it just wasn't worth it when I finally made my decision.

I love AMD always have. In fact, my 6750 is my first Intel system, not counting my 486 :p

i was going to build a spyder - if i could get 2.8-3ghz i would do it. but you may only get 2.5ghz thats why i did not buy the black today!
