i have a Zalman 7700 and am thinking of getting the P35-DS3L or P35-S3G board. Anyone know if that cooler will fit on either board? the DS3L northbridge heatsink looks pretty tall in the pics but the heatsink on the S3G looks shorter.

Also, aside from the number of pci/pci-e slots and price, does anyone know which board is better? I'm getting an E8400 cpu and plan to do some modest overclocking. I haven't found too much info on the S3G so I'm guessing it's a relatively new board.

Thanks for any insights :D

I am using a 7700 on my P35C-DS3R. I know the nortbridge heatsink is narrower on the L, but I'm guessing it's not taller so you should be okay.

To be honest though, I am kind of dissappointed with the 7700. The most I can get out of my Q6600 is 3.2 at a full load of all cores and am thinking of switching to a Thermalright Ultra-120 instead.

Thanks vic20, I'll order that board.

I originally got the 7700 as a quieter solution to the stock intel cooler and i was disappointed in that respect as well. i'll probably get a different cooler later on but i'm already over budget.

Thanks again
