GIGABYTE GA-X48-DQ6 and OCZ Vendetta 2 cooler question?

hi everyone I just bought a new intel processor which is a Q9550 and a new motherboard which is a GIGABYTE GA-X48-DQ6 and wanted to know if i buy the OCZ Vendetta 2 cooler would I have to remove the crazy cool heat pipes on my motherborad or do I have to do any mods so the cooler can fit the motherboard the reason I ask is because the T.R.U.E cpu cooler does not fit my motherboard without me removeing all the stock heat pipes on the board and thats the only reason I am not getting a T.R.U.E. also is there anyway i can add aftermarket heat pipes for my mortherboard thanks for the help
