P L E A S E H E L P !!!!!!
I NEED some help bigtime. I was playing Call Of Duty 4 when all of a sudden it froze & I got a bsod.
Tried to reboot & system ran really slow & weird. Had to restart several times just to get windows to load properly. Have removed call of duty 4, all of it's files & even the registry key. still no dice.
The weirdest part is that there are several different errors that occur. At all different times. Even at idle.
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION
BAD_POOL_CALLER
ati2dvag error
atisduag.dl error
lsass.exe error
win32k.sys

Have ran multiple tools:
chkdsk /r - ran fine
memtest86+ - ran fine overnight. reboot & sd all ram was bad.
sfc /scannow - ran fine
rebuild from cd - ran fine
microsoft mem test - 1st time told me all ram was bad.
verifier.exe - ran fine.
Cleaned all parts & replaced.
Didn't do heatsink though cause; no thrmal paste at hand.
Can't even remember the rest

These errors even happen in safe mode.

Could it be a bad psu.
ram
mobo
heatsink
vieocard.

Right now i've had it up for hours & has been fine. Every time i reboot though i have to try about a dozen times to get windows to load correctly.

Here's my system:
Dell dimension 8400 - I HATE DELL. I'LL ALWAYS BUILD FROM NOW ON. I PROMISE.
Intel alderwood i925xe
Phoenix Bios
P4 3.2 ghz
2.5 Gb's Dell ram - right now i only have in 2 gb's cause' I was trying different things.
Creative Audigy 2zs sound card
ST380013AS - 80 gb - sata - operating system - came with pc
Maxtor 6B30050 - 300gb - sata
PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8631
SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-616E

Can't think of what else you might need.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try updating & reinstalling your graphics drivers. Other than that, it sounds like bad RAM.

I really doubt it's the PSU since most of the time, PSU problems just cause an instant shut down... no warnings. Almost certainly not your heatsink as well - just double check your temps and make sure they're normal.

I would also be thinking somethings going on with the RAM

If this system was running fine for sometime, i would suggest removing all but one stick of RAM... if you still have the problem try another on its own. Narrow down which chip may be faulty by this method

I've actually tried 6 different sticks of ram (2 from original purchase). By themselves & together. memtest86+ & mcsft mem test both have no errors the majority of the time. both have said each & every stick was bad at least once. Then I can run it overnight & never get an error. I've also re-installed the drivers multiple times & even reverted back to the old driver I had from shipping. Still no dice.

If you can remember, I would put the system back to the way it was (as close as possible) when it ran correctly without all the crashes and instability without the added hardware.

Set the Dell 8400 back to original hardware and go from there. Otherwise, I suggest this site for the typical Help! Dell user:

NO NEW HARDWARE ADDED!!!!!! Not yelling, just frustrated. I have had this rig working fine for almost 1 1/2 years with the same hardware. NO PROBLEMS! Then play Call Of Duty 4 & now this. Could it be the SATA cable as well. That's the only other thing I don't have to swap. Also, Could video card be causing these problems? I have no way to test PSU or internal temp's but when i crack the case nothing feels warn, even while running.

Could it be the actual ram slot on the motherboard? I've tried several different slots with each stick of ram & still the same problem.

I do have another hard drive with xp pro on it, but it's an eide drive not sata. How could I even try this? Or is it not even worth my time?

I think I just need to build a new box but I can't afford that right now.

Here's an update. Just got home from surgery.

I've had the computer on now since I started this post yesterday & no errors or bsod's.
It's just running a little slower than normal.
I haven't tried to put it thru a stress test. Just been surfing the net.
Anybody know what the best one would be?
Are there any that will actually tell me what the problem is instead of giving me a bunch of stop:0x00000000 stuff?
Is there any real way I can test the motherboard without taking it a shop.
Unfortunately, since it's a dell, the board wont tell me squat.
If it were the ram module then why would it do it with all of them?
Can I have just the ram tested at a local shop for cheap?
Could the power supply have shorted out the Ram module?

Somebody please help.

also, there are a lot of randon errors in the event viewer. let me know if anyone would like to help analyze those.
