Memory being detected incorectly

Hi all,
Just upgraded my memory have
4 PC5300 ddr2 1 gig sticks.
asus p5ld2 se mainboard
c2d e8650 3Ghz
Geforce 8800GTX
latest bios
the post screen only shows memory as 3200 not 5300 its not running a
1:1 ratio, ive no idea whats going on, this must be affecting my performance in some way any ideas,

If your CPU is actually running at 3.0Ghz, don't worry about it.
Your RAM is not running that slow. If it was, it would down-clock your CPU quite a bit. (It would be running @ about 1.8ghz)

Most likey it's a display anomaly.
DDR2-800=PC2-6400.
Likely it's not doubling the value for it being DDR2.

i understand that, but even cpu-z reports the memory incorectly.
i leave it as be, im never satisfied until i know im running top notch
