CPU-Z , is my ram running slower then its suppose to?

im using 2x1gb of Crucial Ballistix ram @ 800mhz. and CPU-Z is showing 400mhz and 5-5-5-18.

can i change it to 800mhz and 4-4-4-12 , or is the 400 suppose to be 400x2 and its really running at 800?

Yes - The proper reading for 800 Mhz memory is 400. You might want to go in and tighten the timings and make sure the voltage is set to the maker's spec.

i changed to 4-4-4-12 and my computer would not start for a min to two and i got scared. now im booted with 4-4-4-12 , but in CPU-Z it still says 5-5-5-18?

why was my computer not starting? im scared to try this again

and i also couldnt find ne where to adjust my volts or see if my voltage was 2.2 for the ballsitix ram
