Well I finally got my system built...but I am unsure about one thing...
I have mushkin 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) for my ram...CPU-z is reporting the timing at 5-5-5-18....everything thing I have read said the specs for that ram should be 5-5-5-12...should I tighten up the timings to 5-5-5-12 or just leave them where they are at...and would I notice anything if I did tighten them up...

The automatic settings on most memory models do not work correctly. What you need to do is just set the timings manually the 5-5-5-12, but you will also need to set your voltage to the rated voltage. Whatever it may be.

I would go with what is on the sticker on the memory. You may need to do what I have suggested above as well. Make sure to look for what your voltage needs to be. Try to set your memory at the rated timings and if it doesn't work then either back off on timings or increase voltage, but I wouldn't suggest anything higher than 2.2v on DDR2 unless specified otherwise by the company.

Glad I could help guys. Also, yea the performance difference will be next to nothing, but its all about knowing you got what you paid for. ;) lol
