Does anyone know where I can download a x64 driver for the HP Designjet 750C Plus?
I have using the HP750C+ plotter to plot Autocad drawings.with a Windows 7 64 bit operating system on a new build.
It is no surprise that HP no longer supports this plotter, but you can get it to work despite their lack of support. Here's how. Go to HP website and download the drivers for the HP Designjet 1050C and select the Win 7 64 bit operating system. Save the file to the your computer, and note where it is being saved.
In Windows, go to Start>Printers>add a printer. Go through the menus one at a time and when it asks if you have a disk, click on it and direct it to the location where you downloaded the drivers. Let the drivers load. At the end, don't be upset if the Test Print doesn't look right. Remember, the 750C+ will plot when using Autcad once you to to the next step.
Next, open Autocad and load and configure the plotter using the Plotter Wizard under the file command. When you are finished, send a drawing to the plotter. You might have to tweek the sheet alignment settings a little, but it will plot as good as new.
I had been searching for the 750C+ drivers for quite awhile, and found them more or less by trial and error, and a lot of grunt work.
I am using Autocad 2004 and 2007 with success.
Let me know how you make out. If you get stuck, let me know. You can call me.
