I feel foolish! Here's what I did.

My wife has a fairly new iMac and I was trying to set up an older external hard drive for her, which the mac wouldn't recognize. Well, I went to my trusty xp PC and downloaded some drivers that I was doing to expand onto a usb drive. Some how, gasp, d@%#mn, they must have loaded onto my system and now when it starts, it does so in DOS. Sorry to say, I know next to nothing about the critter. I'm getting:
a:\>echo off
MWCDEX.EXE Version 2.81 CD-ROM file handler.

Drive Y: Driver 'generic' unit 1
Command or filename not recognized

I've been Googling all sorts of things for 2 days now, to no avail; so, I thought I'd go to you, the experts. Help!

Are you saying the MAC boots to DOS or the PC?

Do you have the XP installation disk? You could try a repair install.
