Blah, 60 more bucks to go up 100mhz?... Ok it does have a .5 higher multiplier, but still... Like you said---E8400 is definitely the sweet (and I mean sweet) spot =D
I ordered an OEM e6850 last week. they gave me an email today saying that they sold out and asked if i wanted an e8400 instead. i said gladly, its only around $240 in Australia compared to the $330 of the e6850. i get it on monday woot
E6850 and E8400 both are 3.0 ghz with 1333 FSB. E8400 has 6MB L2 cache compared to E6850's 4 MB L2 cache. So they both have identical front side buses
