Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my video card which is currently a 7600gt 256 meg. I almost always run games at 1680x1050 since I have a 21 inch monitor. I have heard that having 512 ram really helps out performance when running at higher resolutions, is that true? I only have about 200 dollars to spend so I was looking at getting a Radeon 3850 512 meg. I could possibly afford an 8800GT 256 meg, but would the Radeon be better for me since I run at high resolutions? What do you guys suggest ?

Well it depends on the games, for newer ones get the radeon as the memory will really raise minimums.

The 512MB will allow you to use higher resolution texture sets, too. That'd be my choice.
