$300-$400 computer build!

I am looking to build a $300-$400 computer (maybe $450) including OS keyboard and monitor. I dont know what parts i should get. Can someone help me with a preferred build? I was hoping the mobo would support a Q6600 for later. i intend on upgrading this over time. I was hoping to get that cheap conroe Cpu like i think its the E2250? It is suppose to over clock well on air and is suppose to be cheap. Please any suggestions and item build lists would be a great help.

  1. Never mind was the E2160
  2. The monitor alone will blow half of your budget (cheapest LCD was around $150), an OEM copy of Windows is another $100, and the CPU is $80. A decent mobo is another $100. Better off saving more then buying.

  4. Wow thanks that looks Spiffy. I might be able to get a nice copy of Windows XP. The monitor i may i can go with a crt but i dont want to.
  5. Hell, you can't touch a Dell for $300-400. Your gonna need $500-600
Chookman came as close as you'll get and that was without the OS.
  6. I can get XP free. So that mobo's build in Graphics are DX 9? Which means i can play BF2? That is unbelievable. Yeah maybe not on high, but still frigging sweet.

AMD 2300 BE Dual core $30 (they were bundled together and costed about $75)

    Dvd burner
cant remember brand but was $55

    No graphics card

    320 GB HD $60

LOL case was $120 with a psu but they didnt charge me and they also didnt charge me for the Crysis game

    19' LCD $180
