Hi i'm probly just clutching at straws but here goes.
my machine has beed crashing for about the last month, in the last 2 weeks i've replaced ram,cpu and gfx card. i originally put the crashing down to unmatched ram. i just found on the net that the wireless card i own was crashing this persons machine when it was under heavy bandwidth usage is this a possible cause as my machine just turns its self off when i'm playing cod4 online not a restart just off.
i've ran many cpu test all passes+ memtest86 for 3 hrs pass. the only other thing is i ran 3dmark06 just after i turned my pc on, pass and then the second go it turned off :S. i have no clue why or wats goin on to be honest i've tried everything i can think of
I would guess either the motherboard has a problem (try going into the BIOS and see if any safety settings are on that could cause this.) Or perhaps the PSU has developed a fault. Try another PSU in the machine. I would also of of suggested trying a BIOS update but if its crashing at random then I'd say its too high risk.
flashed my bios to the most recent because the old one did not suppot my cpu :S
Today i swap pci-e connectors to my gfx card as my psu has 2 , plugged my mouse and keyboard in different use ports as i read somewhere that sometimes usb ports can breakdown after time and so far all seems ok
oh and evrything tells me my temps are fine but now i'm running with the dooor off my machine
