I ordered the 2900pro but have a overclocked 8600gt and i was wondering if it could play gears of war and all the new games alot better?

yeah i hope and pray it does. will my amd 64x2 4600+ create a bottle neck with this garpics card

Your X2 4600+ will be fine and shouldn't alter best playable settings at all.
