This question really goes out to the owners of 780i boards.

I was probably looking at upgrading to a 780i board from a P5B Deluxe and I was wondering what your impressions were.

I am wondering the same thing, I was also wondering if we should wait for 790i.

Native tri-sli support. Personally I would stick with 680i since 780i is just a refresh and no major changes have been made. The motherboards are pretty new out and so probably have more problems, while older motherboards are better established.

780i sucks.

RAID controller with no >2TB support, in an age where you can hit 2TB with 2 drives.

Network controller that is unreliable and just crap.

Runs stupidly hot.

If I didnt have so much cash invested in 3*8800GTX Tri-SLI, I'd go back to my x38 board and get two 3870X2s

hmm, I was looking at getting an EVGA 780i board probably in a few months.

Really in no hurry. Do you guys think that these issues may be fixed with new BIOS updates?
