Auto-shutdown

Hello,
My computer (XP) is auto-shutting down every day at 12:00pm. I've deleted all scheduled tasks but it continues to shutdown at 12:00pm!
Please help me.

  1. Aliens have invaded the computer?
    But seriously try:
    click my computer
    click control panel
    click display
    click the power bar
    click the power schemes tab
    check these settings:
Power Schemes: set to: Home/Office Desk
turn off monitor: set to never
turn off hard disks: set to never
    system standby: set to never
    click the hibernate tab
make sure the hibernate box is not checked
    click apply click OK
now restart the computer and test it out
if the same problem happens again, let us know so we can try some other solutions.

I've got a vague recollection that some years back this happened a lot and had something to do with changing over to Daylight Saving time but I can't recall more than that. Has your region just switched over?
