This are Asrock's new Mobos which are based on the P35 Chipset but the company claim that it supports FSB up to 1600 & also DDR3 1600...

This is a good mobo for future proof....when DDR3 becomes mainstream, you could easily buy a pair of 4GB DDR3 1600 without buying a new mobo...Also when the last of the Penryns (FSB 1600) is release, it is also compatible...

This is the advantage of having the memory controller on the mobo, you can put different dimms, DDR2/DDR3 just like in the Pentium 4 days where there are mobos with SDram/DDR....

yes, I 've seen this one on the asrock site a couple of days ago. Its a pitty that it only supports up to 4GB of DDR3 but its a nice board for seamless upgrade from one type of mem to another.

Do you remember the ECS board that supported both AMD and intel CPUs with an upgrade board? that was cool. I love those hybrid stuff, I've got the asrock K8upgrade-nf3 and I have both the 939 and AM2 modules, so I can put in 754,939 or AM2 processors wherever I need to test them before buying/selling.

Then another asrock rarity launched was the AM2 PCIe+AGP board using both Uli and Nf3 chipsets, but however, they already had one with both ports and the CPU upgrade port.
