I'm having problems with movie maker. I have version 5.1 for Window XP. I have a project started and everytime I try to open it, it locks up. It opens but whatever I try to do after that, it locks up. I have to use control, alt delete to shut it down. It takes a long time to shut down. After I get back to desk top, the other programs are slow. If I restart the computer everything is 'normal' until I open movie maker again. Any help??
Thanks
Dennis

Consider a couple things, did movie maker ever function correctly on this computer?
Did the problem start recently after working OK previously?
click my computer
click control panel
click system
How much RAM memory does it say is installed in this computer?
Is this a single core processor computer?
Video editing software requires a lot of RAM memory, and requires a good video setup to work properly. Push control alt delete after opening movie maker. Does the display show that the processor is at 100%?
