How to play ~temp .avi file

Hello,
while desktop recording using camstudio accidently shutdown my system , i couldnt build or compress the recorded version. when i logged in to my system i got only the ~temp VLC media file (.avi) ... I am not able to open this with any player.. can u please suggest me to fix my problem..

Did u tried right click and play with VLC?

You need to re-record what you were doing and save it properly. That temp file is just a fragment and won't play.
