Hello, What's a Nolan Error accompanied by BSOD -
I know what software is causing it, but, I need to run it....
I have 4 CF48 XP Pro laptops.
The software works on one and crashes the other 3 - one BSOD's on Windows XP Pro boot, one on the the actual program boot and other as program is running, especially if there's a usb communications glitch.
It seems that if I install the program w/o the usb drivers, that the program might run -
Also - there's another version of the software that uses the same usb drivers -
I had one CF-48 that ran the software #1 well, but when I installed software #2, the program reinstalled the same drivers and now neither #1 nor #2 programs escape BSOD and Nolan Errors.
Where does the text on the BSOD come from? It politely tells me that "Nolan" has encountered an error.
FWIW - I had a Dell 810 that worked intermittently with this software - I wrapped the base up in aluminum foil and grounded the foil and it seemed to work for a while w/o a Nolan error / BSOD.
The other odd thing - a Dell 610 that was working fine - then, the HD scrambled and I had to fdisk it so that it would boot up again -
