I have Acer Aspire 1710 with the above" P4 SL7 Malay 2.80Ghz 512 400 with 478 Pins".
Can i changet whit a" P4 SL6 WG Malay 3.20 Ghz 512 800 also 478 pins".

first you need to open the computer and find the motherboard make and model. Then go to the motherboard manufacturer website and check the processor compatibility for that certain motherboard.
Since there are so many compatibility issues, and all 478 pin processors are not the same in many ways, you must check carefully. Also a bios update may be needed.
