Would I be better off with a different PSU or Heatsink/Fan? If you do suggest something else please provide a link if you can. Thanks! The power supply is a little cheaper here; http://www.buy.com/prod/Corsair-VX-450w-Power-Supply/q/... cpttripps1 January 1, 2008 7:10:45 PM Really? Only 2GB of ram? I am on Vista x32.. so you think 4GB would be overkill and wouldn't add much performance? Vista64 and basic starting tasks consumes about 1.4GB of RAM from a clean start. Add a browswer and a couple basic applications and the RAM consumption will hit 1.7GB. 2GB is a must. I routinely hit 2.5GB of RAM consumption in a heavy office multitasking. Obviously some gaming is CPU intensive and will consume some RAM just like my multitasking. For 32bit operation I would consider getting 3GB. Remember 2GB is a must. 4GB is a waste, BUT sometimes 4GB is more cost effective than 3GB. FOr 64bit just go ahead and slap in the 4GB with the pathway to 8GB being considered (in otherwords 2x2gb is better than 4x1gb). I routinely hit 6GB of RAM consumption..... but that is strictly task related...... decompressing a big RAR file, batch processing photos, video editing etc. Can't find your answer ? Ask !
