Sad thing is that he also invested something like $7B(B as in Billion) into CitiGroup as well. Only reason I know is I work for CitiBank. Here is a link: http://seekingalpha.com/article/55 [...] -abu-dhabi

Obviously they have deep pockets to be able to throw money around. Only difference here is that CitiGroup is expected to be able to rebound where as AMD is getting pounded by analysts due to very un-competatvie products.

Also both Intel and AMD do the same thing. Intel makes most of their chips in either Chandler(AZ), Oregon or Colorado and sends them to Malaysia to be packaged. Same goes for AMD. All theirchips show made in Malaysia.
