I just purchased a new Dell Inspiron 530 w/1 gb of memory. I want to add more ram, but I'm not 100% sure what will work. It currently has 2 512mb sticks of (I think Samsung) ddr2 667. I'd like to add 2 1gb/pc5300 sticks in the remaining slots to bring the total to 3gb. Will this work and if so, does it matter if I use Kingston, Corsair, ...or do I need to use Samsung?

Thanks.

It's always best to have matching RAM. If you decide you use different RAM, i.e., not just buy a matching set, make sure the voltage and timing are the same
