Well, I just bought my first GPU about 1 month ago and I love it and I think I'm gonna upgrade to a better GPU. I'm getting Gears of War and COD4 tomorrow and I ordered Mafia from amazon.com. I'm really starting to like CPU gaming more than consoles since I'm usually on my pc all day and I think it's just a better experience. Also since my HDTV uses so much energy I prefer something a bit friendlier on my light bill.
Anyways, I've decided to upgrade a couple parts to my computer. For one, I'm changing my PS from...
Since I heard that higher effieceny means it saves more energy and the Rosewill sucks in terms of that, I'm gonna get something with a better rating... please correct me if I'm wrong.
Second, I'm changing from a x2 3800 to a x2 5000..... just because I want a faster processor....
and lastly I was wondering how the 7600gt could handle all of this with the newer games and if I should upgrade to a 3850 or just save up for a 8800gt.
dude you're spending 80 bucks to swap out one 450w psu for another 450W psu? you're crazy.
The difference in efficiency (if there even is one) would probably take you like 50 years of never turning your PC off before you save on your power bill more than the 80 bucks you spent.
then you're gonna buy a new cpu but its an AMD and its hardly any better than your old one..
wow you really like wasting money...

Efficiency is the last thing I would care about here. The corsair PSU (made by seasonic) is world apart in terms of component quality. It's also much better for running a high end system because of the 33A single 12V rail vs the puny 14/16A current limited rails of the rosewill.
