I'm throwing around some ideas in my head, I'm thinking I'm going to try to build a mid-range budget Lanbox or Mini-tower. There was this nice Silverstone mATX case I was looking at that takes normal ATX PSUs. it's a little much at $114.99 though. I know that most mATX's have integrated VGA, I'm thinking of getting a cheapie HD 3850 or 8800GS.

And I know that putting "l33t hax comp" and "matx" in the same sentence is stupid, but I'm going to try for it anyways. I need a mobo that can get a e2140 to 3.0 GHZ easily, and remotely future proof, so that I can get a Wolfdale or Yorkfield should the need arise.

Candidates:

Gigabyte GA-G33M-S2L ~99.99

Asus P5k-VM ~118.99

Asus P5E-VM ~134.99

O great sagacious ones of THF, helpeth me out!

Once I get some feedback I'll make a thread with the rest of my build's peices in the New Build forum.

Really looks like a toss up unless the ASUS would be better for overclocking that's what you want to do. Regardless, you likely to lose a PCI slot with anything the size of an 8800GT or bigger. Really need got to the ASUS and Giagbyte web sites and go down the line of features.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that if that Gigabyte performs anywhere near as good as the D53L, get it. I've had nothing but success with the D53L that I put in my brother's computer. 3.0Ghz easy on a cheap Arctic Freezer 7.
