Everytime I try to unistall this stupid game "Psychonauts" I get.....

Error Code:-5004 : 0x7e
Error Information:
>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (2011)
PAPP:p sychonauts
PVENDOR: Double Fine Productions
PGUID:A129D1F2-CAC4-4AD7-B26D-3C6411B87DCC

I'm confused! What exactly do you mean by what programs? Psychonauts and Windows Vista are the programs I suppose! First I used the program that came with the game disk. (you pop it in your dvd rom drive and click uninstall) Then I attempted to use the windows uninstall feature in programs and features. Then I tried using the uninstall feature in Windows whille in safe mode and still got the same error message. Does that not answer your question?

I suppose I'll just have to delete the folder in program files and then delete the registry keys. I was just hoping there was a better way! :-(

Remove every part of a program completely.
U can use Your Uninstaller! or Revo Uninstaller. The Windows uninstaller will not remove everything.

Deleting the folder will not help and its not recommended.

Hey, its easy program, but try Your Uninstaller! it will remove automatically the traces to the program. Just run it in the advanced uninstall mode and click next.

In the Revo, u need to do some more selecting : )

Well Revo came up with the same error

An Error {-5004: 0x7e} has occurred while running the setup.

Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor. Double Fine Productions {http://www.doublefine.com}

Yeah there's no advanced uninstall in the program that came with the game. The only options you have are Play, Install (which is grayed out because it's already installed and uninstall. And when you click that you get the error.

Tried turning off UAC and no go :-( same error. Trying it in safemode now. One sec.

Well it obviously is missing the uninstall file, or it's corrupt. But these programs will delete all the files so that's just what' I'm going to have to do I suppose,
