I own a Pentium D 925, when I go into the bios temps under idle the temp says 50-55 degrees celsius but when I open PC Wizard 2008 (core temp doesnt work with pentium ds) its registering as 35-40 degrees celsius who should I believe and is there any trusted temperature monitor that works with pentium ds?

Also my motherboard is an ECS Alhena5

EDIT:
I believe I figured it out, my mobo must have been factoring in the chipset temps because I compared SpeedFan and Pc Wizard 2008 temps and got this...

SpeedFan:
Temp1: 38 Celsius
Temp2: 52 Celsius
Temp3: 25 Celsius

Pc Wizard 2008:
Processor Temperature: 38 Celsius
Mainboard Temperature: 51 Celsius
Power / Aux Temperateure: 25 Celisus

Correct me if Im wrong thanks.

When you're in the BIOS the processor is running at full power, but when you boot to the OS it runs special code when the processor is idle to put the processor in to a low power idle mode. This means most of the time the processor is not generating much heat which will account for the difference between the BIOS temps and PC Wizard / Speedfan.
