System specs are in my sig. I know XP 32 bit can only recognize 3-3.5meg, but 3 is better than 2 and even though I'm not interested now, Vista will probably crop up sometime in the future. I'm looking at OCZ gold 4gb (2 x 2gb) at Newegg, which has a good deal now with a MIR. I don't have a lot of experience with mem and am wondering if the move from 667 to 800 (cas 5) is worth the $80-$100. I'm also considering upgrading my E4300 to a Q6600 down the line abit. Whatcha think?

If u have a E4300 @ 3.0 then keep it dont upgrade it
For the RAM, well 2GB is enough for now and laos if u want to upgrade to
4GB, then go for a RAM which has 4-4-4-x timings

Do u really have any problems with your rig ? its a solid one :)
Remember upgrade something when u realy dont get the performance u want

u have E4300@ 3.0 + 2GB RAM + 8800GT which is a perfect combination

Thanks Maziar. Good advice. My rig is running fine. I'll wait.

Your rig is very close to mine.  I dont plan on upgrading for at least a year.  Since the Q6600 is the highest I can go on my S3, I'll probably wait to get one when they are discontinued or when the price starts going back up.  Otherwise my rig runs everything great.
