2GB DDR2 800 Geil Value

I have 2GB Geil DDR2 800 (2x 1GB)....

I used it first in my Q6600 rig with Gigabyte 965P-S3....it was stable in Prime95 & memtest...

then I transfered all (processor, video card, harddisk, and the geil memory) to a new mobo..Gigabyte G31MX-S2..

it's my new lanbox...

Prime95 was still stable...but the memtest showed error just as it starts testing...

Is it the ram or the mobo that causes the memtest error..???

If the RAM was good in the first system, you likely need to set the memory voltage and timings in BIOS in the new MB. PC6400 is 2.0-2.1v if possible in the Micro board BIOS. Timings to Mfg. specs. again being a micro board with inferior voltage regulators, 5-5-5-15 may be best or as tight as the chipset will do.
