When CPU is overclocked I get poor performance in TF2 and UT3

Hi, my system specs are in my signature and basically when I have my cpu oc'd to 3.6ghz instead of 3.0 I get poor performance. I've made sure that the frequency for the pci slot is 100 and when overclocked my performance increases in most games.


Performance decreases in Team Fortress 2 and Unreal Tournament 3

it increases in

crysis
battlefield
quake wars


WHY?

BTW it's not a heat issue.

Steam can get funny with oced rigs, try re-installing both games.

hmm it doesnt do that to me and i have mine at 3.6 to 4.0 on air so maybe try 3.4 or 3.2 it usually runs much more stabel. Also you might want to increase the voltage
