D:\\ not accessible, I/O device error

I am trying to install software and the disc/dvd door won't open. When I try to download software it reads- D:\ not accessible and also I/O device error.

I am trying to install software and the disc/dvd door won't open. When I try to download software it reads- D:\ not accessible and also I/O device error.

If the CD/DVD Drive Door Will Not Open: * See if the tray is obstructed. Stick a straightened out paper clip in the little hole and try to push out the tray. Or right click the device and select "eject".

Check device manager for any error code being reported.
