ENTIRE POST REDO:

I originally thought this problem was due to a power outage, but my younger sibling just told me that the error was there this morning before the power outage. It's one of those "X has encountered an error...".

I originally had "Notify me when critical errors occur" off, but I turned it on last night. That means the error was there all along, but didn't show up until this morning after I had turned the notifications back on.

So, does anyone know how to fix this problem with NVRaid? Is it okay to just turn if off in "msconfig", or is there a performance boost by having it on? I have a RAID 0 array, and it shows up as "Healthy" before windows loads.

I'm going to go back through my services, to see if I turned something off that needs to be on.

Thanks

keep it on unless it bothers you.

personally when i have a problem like this i restore my system from my backup and see if i had the error when i made my backup... 100% of the time i dont so....

if you dont keep a backup of your os then ....

1. save all of your data.
2. format.
3. wait for os to install.
4. go through the annoying process of adding softwares.
5. see if you still get that "X has encountered an error..."
6. you probably wont so make a backup using acronis or whatever.
7. keep that backup in a safe place :)
8. ???
