Hello. Newbie to power. If I am just trying to power a basic set up (HD3850, CD/DVD, 4400+. a few drives) do i really need a so called TIER 1/2 PSU?
There are a bunch of 500+W PSU's from coolermaster, raidmax, rosewill all with good user ratings on newegg for a good price. When putting a budget build together, that $30-40 I can save could bump my CPU up a notch or add 2 more GB of RAM.
How much risk am I really putting myself into making a purchase from them?
I mean honestly, how could a company consistently sell a bad product and stay in business? And how can one of these tier 5 companys ever expect to make it up a "tier"?
Ive never had a PSU fail on the crappy compaq, etc. computers I have owned in the past so. Please share any budget build experiences. Greatly appreciated.
Get this one and you won't have any problems;
