i have an abit is7 and i have 2 modules in slot 1, 3 of 512 mb 400 mhz ddr ram then in slots 2 and 4 i have 2 modules of 1 gb 400 mhz ddr memory..
it reads 3 gb of ram.... so it appears it is using them. is there any negative affects of mixing chips in this way? I like to play games and want to make sure that it will not slow down or hurt my system, or maybe cause undue strain or extra heat?
