I finally got my new 3850 to work after a RMA and many issues. When i start a game, say Call of Duty 4, it lags at the start of each map. Now trying to play Crysis the menu itself hardly registers, very slow. Any idea why this is so crappy for me?

Use FRAPS and it your getting below 30fps lower your gfx settings. If your getting more than 30 fps with lag then i'm not entirely sure what the problem could be.

I kept going and it only lags in the menu. I find it very odd seeing as how it requires the least from the card correct?

ya, that card is junk (ok its not but for only $50 more you could get much better performace) - you should have bought a 3870 or 2900 pro
reduce your settings

send the card back and get the 3870 or 2900 pro
