I am working on my first DIY cpu and plan to use a Q6600 and 8800 GT

I was going to use GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 Rev. 2.0 LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Ultra Durable II Intel Motherboard -

However, I didn't realize until tonight that DDR3 memory is starting get to almost be affordable.

So Should I get a motherboard that supports DDR3 ram - and if so , can i stick with DDR2 for now, until the price drops?

Or should I just ignore the DDR3 - I plan to run Vista Ultimate

Any suggestions on motherboards would be appreciated, as well as explaining the DDR3 ram

Thanks

Depends how much you want to spend, ddr2 is still quick, and you can get more ddr2 for the same price as less ddr3. However if you want to spend the extra, it's your call.
