SSD - The Performance Upgrade of the Future
Can I overclock my CPU through software (Windows)?, because I can't through BIOS. If I can, how do I know my PLL? Thx
Why can't you OC through the BIOS? Some motherboards come with Windows utilities to OC the CPU. But the BIOS works better. And I think the days where someone had reasonable hardware access to the PLL are long gone.
If the bios doesn't allow oc, you won't be able to do it through software either. It won't work.
the famous clockgen software would OC a locked BIOS as well. either try to find a mod BIOS or buy a new motherboard or just live with it.
ok but what PLL should I choose from the list in ClockGen?
If you've got good eye's , get a flashlight and have a look at the chip. I needed a magnifying glass.
I found my boards (DP965LT) PLL in this site: http://www13.plala.or.jp/setfsb/ is this right?
I have a machine with IDT CV147C and it works fine with Clockgen, another of the same machine with CV147CPAG won't.
