Reset all user owner permissions

sir i am sayaji first step i installed win xp & i take some imp data in e: drive & i give that drive security permission to specific user after some days goes & i PCs come problem that time i do fresh winxp installation
after that installation when i open e: drives that time this drive is not open & error comes massage show access denied so what i do ? & how to take permissions of that drive on new winxp users

The settings you made for the E:\ drive were made in a system that no longer exists so I'm not sure Windows can provide an answer to this. However, Linux doesn't recognise Windows security measures so any build of a Linux Operating System which can run as a Live CD without the necessity to install it will help you get access to your e:\ drive. My personal preference is PCLinuxOS from http://www.pclinuxos.com.
