I have read until my eyes are about to bug out of my head and I can't make a decision on the motherboard for my new gaming rig. I plan to do basic overclocking (nothing advanced or extreme) so I want something capable, reliable, and user friendly. I plan to start with a E6750 and move to a quad when I need to upgrade. I also plan to start with 1 8800GT graphics card. I would consider an SLi capable board if it meets the overclocking needs and fell under $150. In general, I am looking for the best value (price/performance). I do not need most of the bells and whistles on the high-end boards (like RAID, Firewire, etc.).
Just built my system before Christmas - have never had a problem with Gigabyte until this build. Tried 2 DS3L's, both bad. Would have exchanged for Asus, but wasn't in stock so went with EVGA. Gigabyte is a good board, I just thought after 2 tries I would go with a different brand.
I have a DS3L with a Q6600@3.42ghz. Easy board to OC. vdroop is a little much but livable. Price for a P35 board is great. None of the boards you listed will SLI you need a 680i or 780i board. TD had XFX and EVGA 680i boards with C2D and C2Q combos at a decent price a short time ago if you are set on SLI.
