Well... I just bought an 8800GT which is great and I got a good deal on it. Only thing that bugs me is that it gets a bit warm and the fan is pretty loud. I contacted BFG and they told me that an aftermarket fan would void the warranty.
I don't mind spending the extra money but it looks like new video cards are on the horizon. I have 30 Days to make up my mind, whether I want to keep the card or not. If I return it now, I'll order an EVGA 8800GTS and step up, but if I wait I suppose I could pick up a 9800GTX.
Any advice?

get an aftermarket cooler, and keep the stock in a drawer somewhere, so that if you do need to return it,, you simply refit the stock, and BFG will have no way of prooving it
How high is your case temperature? People are getting better at thinking airflow, but still many complain about high temperatures while only having one case fan.
What I mean is that it might be a cheaper way to lower the temperatures to take a look at your cases airflow and improving it with well placed fans(will also improve the overclockability of the system as a whole)

Unless you suck at replacing them.
BTW, I thought it was illegal to void warranties for product upgrades. I thought it was established in an ancient court case that the consumer has the right to use whatever computer component they want.
i would wait about 25 days then return it.. to see if anything new is coming out. if not exchange it with a evga gts then stepup when the new one come out..
