Hi,
I’ve currently got a Radeon X850 Pro agp, and I want to upgrade pretty soon to a better card. I’m thinking of upgrading to a HD2600XT, mostly because it supports Directx10 and the reviews say it’s the best card around $115. Is this a good idea? I use my computer mainly for gaming, so a video card is the most important thing for me right now. My computer’s specs are:

AMD athlon 3400+ 64
1.5 gigs of ram
Radeon X850 agp
Vista Ultimate
400w power supply
500 gigs of HD

Thanks,

The 2600 XT would be a bit better than the X850 XT, which would be a bit better than your X850 PRO.

You'll see a boost with the 2600 XT, probably most notable in newer games, but it might not be earth-shattering in some older stuff.

the 2600xt supports dx10, but who cares, even the best (single card solutions) out there are brought to their knees when run in dx10. If you power supply can take it and you can't wait, I'd go for an x1950 agp. otherwise, upgrading to pci-e when you can afford it would be better.
