Copy computer to another HDD?

Here's the deal: I have a 160GB Western Digital SATA HDD and a 120GB Seagate IDE HDD... however, I'm outta space. I'm thinking of getting a Seagate 7200.11 500GB or 750GB and just copying ALL my data there. Is that possible? As long as the drive letters remain the same (C:\ and D:\)

I'm thinking of going about it like this:

ALL 160GB Drive to 400GB Partition on the new drive.
ALL 120GB Drive to old 160GB Drive

Will that work?

Yes, just make sure your boot.ini is on the boot hdd(partition)
